FUNDRAISER
has launched a fundraising effort
to raise $5000 to purchase and install materials
necessary to provide beach access to people
with mobility difficulties.
The Committee is proposing to have a wooden walkway installed across South Cape Beach extending approximately 45’ from the handicapped parking area to the high water line. The walkway will be at least 4’wide and a 6’ by 9’ deck area will project off of the walkway at the high water line.
This project has received strong endorsements from the Town Manager, Board of Selectmen, Conservation Commission and the Recreation Director. It is the Committee’s intent to provide similar access at other Mashpee beaches in the future.
