The following is a summary of the
Transfer Station Rules & Regulations.
SMOKING - Smoking is NOT allowed in or near the Transfer Station main building and trash hopper.
RESIDENTIAL USE - Residents may bring their household trash and recycling to the Transfer Station during normal hours of operation. Trash and recyclable materials should be disposed of in the appropriate areas.
Household trash is defined as trash generated by the day-to-day activities of a household. This included food wastes, waste paper, packaging, etc. Items prohibited from household trash include andy items of a hazardous nature* such as flammables, explosives, pesticides, chemicals, gas cylinders, and oil-based paints as well as recyclable materials.
* Pesticides, oil-based paints, solvents, and certain other chemicals may be disposed of at the household hazardous product collection days held throughout the year. For more infromation on these collections days check the Household Hazardous Waste page or call 508-539-1490.
