Recycling is FREE for any Mashpee Resident/Property Owner.
The following materials are accepted for recycling at the Transfer Station:
PLASTIC - All plastic containers (#1 - #7) including milk jugs, colored detergent or similar bottles, yogurt cups, water bottles, etc. Please rinse & remove caps/lids.
GLASS - Clear or colored jars and bottles only. No plate window glass or ceramic plates or dishware. Please rinse & remove caps/lids.
METAL CANS - Tin or aluminum cans.
NEWSPAPER - No plastic bags.
MAGAZINES, CATALOGS, & PHONE BOOKS - No plastic bags.
PAPER/JUNK MAIL/CHIPBOARD - White or colored paper, envelopes, mail, shredded paper, cereal boxes, cracker boxes, egg catons, paper towel holders, etc.
BOOKS - Clean and dry paperback or hardcover. Place in box.
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD - Please flatten.
TIRES -
Passenger tires, off rim $2.00 each
Passenger tires, on rim $5.00 each
Truck tires (17"-26"), off rim $10.00 each
Truck tires, on rim $15.00 each
OIL FILTERS and USED OIL - Non-contaminated waste motor oil and oil-gas mixture only.
BATTERIES - Lead acid automotive batteries as well as NiCd or other rechargeable batteries.
ANTI-FREEZE - Green only
SCRAP METAL - Separate metal from other materials (plastic, wood, etc.)
ELECTRONICS - Televisions, computers, microwaves, VCRs.
MERCURY PRODUCTS - Flourescent light bulbs, thermometers, thermostats, and switches. Place in Universal Waste Shed.
YARD WASTE - Leaves, grass clippings and shrub trimmings. Home Composting Bins may be purchased at the DPW for $20.00
BRUSH - Not accepted. Brush may be brought directly to the following locations:
