Where can I purchase a permit for the Transfer Station and how much does it cost?
Stickers may be purchased from the Town Clerk's Office located in Town Hall. The cost is $70 for the fiscal year or any part of the year (July 1st - June 30th). An additional sticker for a second vehicle in a household may be purchased for $10.
Where can I dispose of brush?
The Mashpee Transfer Station no longer accepts brush. Brush may be disposed of for a fee at the following locations:

Where can I dispose of demolition or building materials?
The Mashpee Transfer Station does not accept demolition or building materials. This material includes lumber, ceiling tiles, windows, flooring, and the like. It may be disposed of for a fee at the following locations:

Does the Town have curbside trash pick-up?
No, residents must either purchase a permit to drop-off trash at the Transfer Station or contact a Licensed Trash Hauler for curbside pick-up.
How can I recycle if I have private trash pick-up?
Any Mashpee resident may recycle at the Transfer Station for free by showing proof of Mashpee residency at the gate. Also, ask your hauler. Private haulers are required by their license to provide minimum recycling services to customers.
What happens if my vehicle is being repaired?
You may contact the Department of Public Works to receive a single trip pass. Each pass will allow one trip into the Transfer Station in a vehicle without a sticker.
What if I am borrowing a truck to bring an item to the Transfer Station because it’s too large for my car?
A single trip pass may be used as described above.
Who do I call about illegal dumping in the woods or other areas?
If the dumping occurs along a public way, you may call the Department of Public Works directly at 508-539-1420
Does the Town of Mashpee have a composting program?
Yes, the Town of Mashpee has a composting program.
Leaves, grass clippings, and shrub (soft) trimmings may be brought to the transfer station for composting. Screened compost is available seasonally for use by residents. A sign at the gatehouse will alert residents of the availability of compost. The attendant can also answer any questions on availability.
Wood chips are also available to Mashpee residents at the Department of Public Works located at 350 Meetinghouse Road.
Home composting bins may also be purchased for a reduced price at the Department of Public Works through a start-up grant from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. All money raised through the sale of the composting bins is used to purchase additional bins.
