MISSOULA CHILDREN’S THEATRE

PRODUCTION OF

"THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA"

The Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT), the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, has been touring extensively for 35 years from Montana to Japan, and will visit more than 1,200 communities this year with 36 teams of Tour Actor/Directors. A tour team arrives in a given town with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up, everything it takes to put on a play...except the cast. The team holds an open audition and casts 50-60 local students to perform in the production. The show is rehearsed throughout the week and two public performances are presented on Saturday. All MCT shows are original adaptations of classic children’s stories and fairytales . . . a twist on the classic stories that you all know and love.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE:  Boys and girls grades K-12.  This is a group audition.  No advance preparation is necessary.

AUDITION DATE/TIME/PLACE:  Monday, January 26th, beginning promptly at 4:00 p.m., in the Mashpee High School Auditorium.  Audition ends at approximately 7 pm, but the first rehearsal begins immediately after casting.  There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast.  SNOWDATE FOR AUDITION:  Tuesday, January 27th.

PERFORMANCES(2):  Saturday, January 31st, at 3:00 and 7:00 pm, at Mashpee High School.  Tickets are $5, and will be available at the door for general seating.
